CSA Training and Check-out Documents
The following documents are used for CSA training and checkouts.
- CSA Flight Training Syllabus - Sailplane training syllabus used by CSA instructors
- CSA Pre-Solo Test - Test you will need to take and review with your instructor before you solo
- CSA Cross-Country Quiz - Quiz you will need to take and review with your instructor before you embark on your first cross-country flight

- CSA Winch Quiz - Quiz you will need to take before flying as PIC on the winch
- CSA Annual Quiz - Annual review test you need to take and discuss with your instructor before you fly a CSA sailplane as PIC each year
- CSA Safety Meeting - Annual safety meeting you need to attend or view before you fly a CSA sailplane as PIC each year

Required Training Books
The following books are required for CSA ground school and ground training, especially in pursuit of a Solo Certificate and FAA glider certificates. These are available from the SSA Store as well as other merchants.
- FAR|AIM - Combined Federal Aviation Regulations and Aeronautical Information Manual
- Glider Flying Handbook - Online - Written in conjunction with SSA members and approved by the FAA for glider pilot training
